BFO59 – Poopalizzy

The Fat One rambles on about the Big Brother a little and then brings you a LOUD “Memory Lane” music before talking about childhood nicknames.

  1. Poopalizzy? That sounds pretty familiar… where did I hear this before…?
Oh yea – kim was quicker again this time. Go and check out what she found on the interwebs 🙂

  2. Okay, I cannot leave you alone out there with embarrassing confessions – of course mine is not half as embarrassing as yours (as usual 🙂 I was called “bilbiliko” doesn’t make much sense either.
I loved it how you kid-napped the conscience from auntie vera – I hope she doesn’t run berserk now on her cooking cherry without it

  3. Childhood nicknames? Oh, Lord…. but, who doesn’t love a good nickname?
I think my first nickname was *Angel Baby* because when my Dad would carry me into a room, I’d put my arms out like I was flying. Talk about an early indication of things to come, huh?
Later in life I was Big L (an upside-down nickname, since I was the shortest of my siblings).
But the nickname that stuck was what you see now… LurryDean. Woo hoo!

  4. I love you forever, Big Fatty: on “Memory Lane” you played one of my all-time favourite TV programmes! I had a thang for Randolph Mantooth, and at the time I had no idea Julie London had been a big singer-thing,

As for nicknames, my parents called me “Ace” because they thought it was “cute” for a little guy to be called an “ace”. My “emenies”, as I called them, named me “Ace from Outer Space”, and it’s traumatic still, 45 years later. Don’t talk about it! I know, I’m such a woober.

Also, Auntie Vera needs her conscience back, since BF clearly doesn’t need one…

  5. Channeling Auntie Vera gave me a chuckle.

You sounded just like me when you were looking at your Tivo. Surely by now you know that someone was evicted on Tuesday night on Big Brother.

I remember Emergency! I thought the guy with the dark hair was really hot.

Poopalizzy should be your drag name. I didn’t have any nick names as a kid. The boyfriend did give me a spring nick name…Daffodil.

    You’re such a woober!

    Thanks for the congrats!

  6. Okay. That was just fucking SCARY!!!! OMFG!

He told me he was going to a meeting! How the hell did he get across country so fast!??!? What a WOOBER!

    Such flattery.

    Adore you kisses,
    Vera

  7. Mine was ryebread…since my name is Ryan
    or Rye Pie

  8. rye pie – that’s super sweet! . hell, I would love to nibble a bit on that one 🙂

  9. My grandfather called me Junebug. He was from Tennessee where perhaps they have a lot of junebugs. I never saw one until later in life. The name sounds cute, but junebugs are fat and ugly. I wonder if he called me that because I was a fat kid.

My mother called me Barnacle Bill whenever we would go swimming because I would hang on to her in the pool or the ocean.

  10. The earliest nickname I can remember was Nanu, because when I was two or three, I loved Mork and Mindy. I would run around my grandparents home and saying, “Nanu, nanu, nanu, nanu.” My uncle who was still living with my grandparents gave me that nickname.

Now, people at work call me Night-rider, because my name is Michael, and I work nights. Michael Knight was the lead character, played by David Hasselhoff. The theme to Knight Rider whould make for great short term memory lane music, you could dedicate it to “The Night Rider” in Squamish, BC. 🙂

  11. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=poopalizzy

lol – look, there is actually an entry in the urban dictionary for poopalizzy. BigFatty, your parents were really prophetic. This cannot be coincidence!!!

  12. Holy cow! I wasn’t expecting that. Brian from Boston looks like a man but sounds like a…well, okay, man.

My sister used to call me “fucker” and I used to call her “dog-fart”. Neither for reasons you may think!

  13. And I forgot to mention, I LOVED The Mole!
