Take a moment to share your thoughts about Archer. We’re all heart-broken about his death so let’s share those good memories and stories about him and his husband Warren (and don’t worry if someone else has the same memory or story… post yours as well). And come back and read the stories others post.
Special Thanks to Mrs. LaLaLaLauren for sharing her talents with this original artwork.

Here are some comments from earlier in the week. Some may have already been reported.
No1NEStr8Zaddy — I am so sorry to hear about this news. Archer’s and Pride48’s families will be in our thoughts.
Lala — I miss him so much
DocStone — I never met him in person, but I will miss his voice. I hope in the future we can get the podcast community together and have an Irish wake to celebrate how much we loved him. Maybe on his fake birthday.
Tara in Michigan. — Archerr was my gateway podcast. I started listening to him back when it was just him, yeast radio, Wanda Wisdom and a handful of others. He lead me to the LFC, Big Fatty and so many more. He will be so missed. Sending much love to his family and the community! I’ll raise my racist chips and salsa in his honor. #pricecheckontampons
- Toppie Smellie — Very nicely done, Big Fatty, thank you. All my condolences to Archer’s husband and family.
- Denis Letourneau — Did a wonderful tribute to Archer, It was a gut punch when I heard. Gonna miss him.
- Nessa — This one is hard. I’m so thankful I got to meet him and hug him. I still remember the look on his face when he saw me. We were so excited! So many late night group shows. Every Christmas we would tell each other “I’m Linda Mason” from Holiday Inn. Thank you dad for being you and sharing
- Kim beaver — What??????? Oh no. I have no words.
Kim beaver — One of my favorite memories of Archer is when he told the story of a gentleman caller who a bit too well prepared soiled Archer‘s fancy plaid duvet before anything inappropriate even happened. Archer seeing this just cried „Hey dude, you are leaking!“ and threw him out. He was just brilliant in so many ways.
Moose Parker — So sorry to hear about Archerr. He was a great guy. So fortunate to have met him in New Orleans. Was fun being on Big Brother recap show with him and his Gang Bang show.
One of the things I love the most about Paul is that he is unapologetically honest and has no filter ~ or would drop a disclaimer ~ he made me laugh.
Aside from all of his own podcasts and his stories about when he would go to the military shopping place with his mom, the commissary, I just got a kick out of it because he was getting little deals on food and he was such a picky eater anyway.
I loved the Oreo videos that he would make with Warren and I just think Warren was such a sport for participating in Paul’s videos. I hope Warren figured out how to do the cooking videos so we can all keep him in our lives.
One of the stories he seemed to hang onto awhile back was falling off the bed….
He will be missed ~ and like the others in the Pride 48 family he will not be forgotten ~
Norah, Fauci, Cold Play, chips & salsa, summer music festivals and him over serving himself wine will always remind me of him.
Hi Everyone,
I’m hot listener Kev, or at least that is what Archer called me. I have listened to Archer from the beginning of his podcasting career (and like Big Fatty, during his early years he podcasted a lot!) We were both living in Northern Virginia and the same age, so I just connected to all of his stories. Do you remember that wine movie, I believe it was Sideways back in 2004? Archer was going to have a viewing party, and I RSVP’d to attend but then something came up and I couldn’t make it. Jump forward to 2018 and I had moved into Washington DC and Paul was living in the city with Warren so as the ultimate lurker I reached out to invite them to dinner. We went out and it was a warm friendship right from the start. Both were so nice and engaging. I got to enjoy New Year’s, Mardi Gras and a dinner party at their place. Warren is a great cook and Archer is the life of the party! I went to P48 in New Orleans in 2019 and Paul was there along with many wonderful folks from the Pride 48 family. One of my favorite stories that Archer told on his show was his visit to the dry cleaners to get his laundry during election season. I believe he was wearing his “I Voted” sticker and the nice lady at the dry cleaner asked him about the election but her accent made it sound like she said erection! He imitated the conversation on his show and hilarity ensued. That’s Archer and as others have said, he was 100% authentic – filter on 0! Ha! I enjoyed it so – many wonderful memories. I wish Warren all the peace to get through this difficult time. I hope Archer is watching Heartbreakers non-stop and staying next door to the biggest Apple Store in the Universe.
Even though I had never met Paul in person, I still considered him a friend. So many of his experiences were quite similar to mine. I will miss hearing his voice, the stories about what he was up to and the current Apple product report. My deepest sympathy to Paul’s husband and his family.
To Paul’s/Archerr’s Husband Warren and Family my deepest condolences.
His passing is such a loss to many of us that listened and followed his podcast. I first started listening in 2005.
While we never met in person I came to think of him as some what of a neighbor as I also lives in the DMV.
I always looked forward to the stories he shared about his life as we both were about the same age.
In particular I enjoyed his passion for all things Apple which motivated me to make the switch to a Mac in 2008.
I don’t know why it takes a loss like this to realize what you have. Listening to a podcast is different than seeing a movie or watching a TV show. Sometimes, a very personal connection can form between the listener and the podcaster, even though the podcaster doesn’t really know you, or even know if anyone is really listening until that listener speaks out. But, that is when the good stuff happens.
I got to experience that just a little bit with Archer after I sent him a ridiculous email trying to help him understand about his air conditioning and why it probably wasn’t working at the time. I totally geeked out and he was very kind. I think it was at that point that we started to have some fun and I told him that he was going overboard with the Nora O’Donnell music he copied from Big Fatty and played whenever he talked about going to Chef Jeff’s.
Well that’s all it took and he started apologizing to me on the air every time he played it. The last time he couldn’t remember my name, so KC and I teased him back. Sorry to say that he never got to hear it. I send Warren, my deepest sympathies.
Thank you Archer for what you gave us all. And a very special thank you for helping me realize the special connection that we all have, listeners and podcasters, with the Pride 48 family, even though we don’t write nearly often enough. I will miss you!
