I LOVE that music from Tim. I think you should use it every time! And I loved Petticoat Junction. I remember that show from when I was a kid.
I have read the whole series from Tales of the City. I have Michael Toliver lives but haven’t read it yet. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it.
I’m sure I’ll have some great snuggles with the boyfriend on VD day.
Great song, Tim – wish I’d thought of it. 🙂 Petticoat Junction was a favorite of mine as well back in the day. Bea Benaderet played Kate and she was, among many other things, the original voice of Betty Rubble. Gotta love the Cannonball!
Loved your gassy homage to Archerr at the start.
You couldn’t plant the “Petticoat Junction” theme in my head because it’s often there, anyway. Often, I’m like Uncle Joe and movin’ kinda slow. The weird things is, the theme I remembered in my head was kind of a hybrid between the two.
Anyway, what I remember most about the show is when one of the daughters (Betty Jo?) married the town hunk (Steve?) and they moved together to a little rundown shack which they renovated and made all pretty. I was SUCH a gay kid!
He’s Back!
Thank God!
We just happened to check the old www and found you! We were so depressed thinking that we had lost our Big Fatty forever! Now if I could just get Petty Coat Junction out of my head!
Happy VD and thanks for keeping the ruination alive!
I watched 4 episodes of the Petticoat Junction while I was in Texas. Talk about a hootenanny! I watched all of those shows in the afternoon re-runs when I got home from school in the 70’s. I also loved the Beverly Hillbillies and Green Acres! All spin-offs.
